Melle’s theatre credits include:
originating the role of Alice in the world premiere production of A Damsel in Distress (Chichester Festival Theatre), Emma Goldman in Assassins (Menier Chocolate Factory), Kiss Me Kate with the John Wilson Orchestra (BBC Proms) Amy McPherson in Once We Lived Here (The King’s Head), originating the role of Amber Murray in the workshops, world premiere and cast recording of The Hatpin (Whitebox and Neil Gooding Productions), Susan in Tick Tick Boom (NIDA Studio), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Wild Rumpus Productions), Catherine in The Memory of Water (Darlinghurst Theatre Company), Tzeitel in Topol’s Fiddler on the Roof (TML Enterprises), Nellie/Lady Beaconsfield in Jekyll and Hyde (TML Enterprises), Grey Gardens and Oklahoma! (The Production Company), covering and performing the leading role of Sophie in Mamma Mia! (Australasian tour), and Leader of the Pack-The Ellie Greenwich Musical (Green Room Award for Best Ensemble Cast). She received the Best Actress award at the Short and Sweet Festival in Sydney for Keeping Annabelle. Melle is passionate about supporting new writers and has featured in workshops including Lachlan Philpott’s M. Rock (Ironbark), The Last Maharaja (Mark Goucher Ltd), An Officer and a Gentleman (Gordon Frost Organisation) and Nick Enright and David King’s The Good Fight (New Musicals Australia). Her television credits include Home and Away (Seven Network) Mornings with Kerri-Anne (Channel 9) and The Helpmann Awards (Ovation) and she has read short stories and dramas for ABC radio national. Melle is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
